Great Coffee Place in Tagaytay

Great Coffee Place in Tagaytay

There's this great place in Tagaytay to have coffee. With great ambiance and great food. That place is called Bag of beans. They have 2 branches in Tagaytay. Each place has its own charisma and charm. Offering a different type of ambience.

The newer branch is located just after the rotunda beside BPI. The attraction here that most people like is the view overlooking Taal volcano.

The original branch is just a short drive after Mendez crossing on the right side. Parking is at the back just after the entrance of the store. Here, the attraction is the cozy set up of the shop. with gazebos and pavilions open for use for the customers. With strategically placed bird cages around the coffee area.

I guess this is the main branch, since this was the 1st one I ever went to. For those old timers and loyal customers who have been coming back for more in the last decade or so, you will notice that there have been a lot of changes in the surroundings.

And if you're lucky, you might be there when this great children's choir visit for a quick performance

For coffee addicts, they offer bottomless coffee for their BARAKO and house blend selections. Bag of Beans also currently offers buffet lunch.

Windows Antivirus Care VIRUS

Theres a new virus in town and it calls itself Windows Antivirus Care. Be careful. It usually pops up as a screen when you're using mozilla or IE and scans your computer and scares you with fake infected items in your PC.

It will ask you to download and set it up. Be careful. Once installed, you wont find it in your programs folder to uninstall it. It will also automatically turn off your current anti - virus programs and firewalls and hijack all control of your PC.

It will keep on sending pop ups scaring you that your pc is infected with a lot of viruses and ask you the buy the full program online.

It will also prevent you from reactivating your antivirus programs along with your firewall.

It seems that its a very new kind of virus as when I searched the internet, most of the blogs on how to remove it was just a couple of hours old. Another thing is that most of the blogs will tell you how to remove it by downloading various kinds of programs to remove it.

Well, I'm no techie, but all I did was restore my pc to an earlier point ant everything was fixed. (though, I'm not a 100% sure about it, but so far everything works again, including my firewall and antivirus programs.)

Tagaytay!

Tagaytay City, One of the most visited places in the Philippines.

A place where both Local and foreign tourists like to visit. About an hours drive away from Manila. Its easy to get there if you have your own car. Just take SLEX and exit at Sta. Rosa and from there turn right and follow the road.

Before you get to Tagaytay, you might want to stop by Nuvali. With its fishpond full of Koi. Besides the pond, you can also have a short boat ride.

Tagaytay City is full of places to go and things to do. Restaurants are found all over the place. As well as hotels, everything depends on your available budget.

One small nice place I found was the Papa Prito restaurant. Small, cozy and affordable. It is located on the right side( if you're going up to Tagaytay ), along the rotunda.

Sinangag Rice to sawa for the 99 php meals

Forgot to deposit your money? or just need to transact with a bank? No worries, BDO along the rotunda right beside Caltex is open on Saturdays!

Forgot some gadgets for your Laptop? No worries. Just head on up to Summit ridge. Go to the 2nd floor and you'll find a CD-R king branch.

Groceries? You have 2 choices, Robinsons grocery at Summit Ridge and Puregold at the Olivarez Plaza.

Work At Home

Tired of the long commute to work everyday? Waking up early just to get to the office on time? Struggling in getting a ride to the office? Why not work at home?

In the recent years, working at home has increased significantly in the Philippines. All it takes is a decent computer. ( something that has at least 1 mb ram). A decent internet connection. For more info on what you would need to start working at home ....

And some talent in finding work.

As mentioned in earlier blogs, a lot of stay at home moms and dads have started working at home as part time call center agents or representatives. Making or receiving calls from and to other parts of the world has become increasingly easy thanks to the advances in technology.

But, a lot of people don't know that you can also work at home as a writer or blogger. A lot of articles coming out in the internet are made by work at home professionals. Even some articles being printed under the name of someone else usually was written by a work at home professional.

Blogging is a lucrative and well paying home based job for a lot of people. Rates vary from 3 usd for about 100 words to as high as 100 usd per article depends on the topic.

And for those really hardcore bloggers, they also earn from ads in their blogs. Companies pay to advertise on websites that have a high traffic rate on a daily basis. Especially those websites that have their own mailing list.

So, do you have the talent for writing?

SOHO Asian Street Food Cafe - Casual Japanese Dining

Who likes Japanese food? Thai? Filipino?

Who likes to eat in a restaurant with a nice homey ambiance?

Who lives in Mandaluyong and Pasig?

Well, There's this nice place along United st. in Pasig City. If you're coming from Mandaluyong City, just take Pioneer st. Turn right at United St.(after Jolibee Pioneer) straight until the 1st intersection, after ACE water spa. Its right at the corner before you cross the intersection.

Price range of the food is a little above average ( I doubt you'll find any cheap classy Japanese restaurants, If you do, please do drop me a note)

Meals for 2 persons cost us less than 700 php.

It's a great place to have lunch or dinner with your special someone or your family.

The SOHO is open from 11 am to 2 pm and 530 pm to 10 pm. Mondays to Sundays

Parking is on the side streets.

Right beside is the Kainan au Gusto, which serves Filipino Food. We weren't able to eat there. ( Obviously, since we just ate ) But according to one of the persons I talked to, 1 serving of Kare - Kare that's good for sharing is about 120 php. Not bad, right?

And, one of the highlights, besides the food is that they play the good old Filipino songs in the restaurant in the mornings. The kind of songs our Lolo's and Lola's used to sing.

And an extra treat for antique lovers - you can shop while you eat!! How? Visit them and find out.

Next stop - Kainan au Gusto!

N.B.

pardon me for the pics - iphotograpersph photographers weren't with me, so I took the pics using my HTC phone.
